Cheekbone Filler
What is Cheekbone Filler?
The cheek area (malar region, mid-face)
acts as the hanging column of the face located in the mid-face. With aging, the mid-face
bones move backwards and lose their support. In addition, fat pads lose volume in our face
with aging. With the loss of support of bone and fat tissue, sagging occurs on our face. By
applying fillers to this area, volume loss in the mid-face is eliminated. Thus, sagging is
reduced. The midface is directly related to the tear trough under the eyes and the
nasolabial lines that descend from the nose to our mouth. Filling this area first allows the
deepened nasolabial groove and under-eye hollowness to be reduced. It is also possible to
make the face look more attractive and thinner just by adding fillers. Contrary to popular
belief, filling this area does not round the face, on the contrary, it gives a thinner and
inverted triangular appearance. The procedure takes about 15-20 minutes. The dose determined
according to the needs of the person is applied by microinjection method. Redness, swelling
and bruising may occur due to the procedure. It does not require anesthesia. Permanence
varies between 6 months and 3 years depending on the product used.
